Pamlico County features an abundance of
wildlife and has become well known to hunters and fishermen. Deer,
quail, duck, rabbit, tarpon, mackerel, flounder and other varieties
are taken daily, when in season, and provide some of the best
hunting and fishing in the world.
Numerous bays, rivers and creeks make
sailing, power boating and fishing popular pastimes.
The tidewaters of Pamlico County are also
a paddler's paradise. Nearly 150 miles of waterways attract canoeists
and kayakers. An 18-hole championship golf course at Minnesott Golf
and Country Club provides a challenge for the serious golfer.
